We are one of Finland’s six regional dance centers. We support the vitality and development of professional dance in Northern Savo, Northern Karelia, and Southern Savo. You can find us in the ITAK stage, a blackbox theatre in the city of Kuopio. We also produce dance performances throughout Eastern Finland – see below our upcoming performances.
The website of the Regional Dance Center of Eastern Finland has been renewed. The goal of ITAK’s website redesign was to improve the site’s accessibility, clarity, usability, and visual appearance.
The Eastern Finland Regional Dance Center is opening three open calls for dance artists for the year 2027. The calls will open in May 2026.
In 2026, the Regional Dance Center of Eastern Finland will support the work of dance artists in its service area—Northern Savo, North Karelia, and Southern Savo—through three new forms of support.
