Liikelaatikko

The Liikelaatikko consists of three games: The Functional Body, The Narrative Body, and The Transforming Body. Each game includes 3–4 tasks. The Liikelaatikko facilitator can tailor the game’s content to the group’s interests, abilities, needs, or available time.

The tasks in the Functional Body can be categorized as classic group activities. The Expressive Body is built around verbal descriptions. The tasks are solved using the body. The tasks in the Transformative Body emphasize creative thinking and expression.

The game tasks can be played as standalone exercises, by playing a single game of your choice (e.g., Functional Body tasks), or by combining the task contents of different games. Each task comes with an Instruction Card containing all the necessary information for guiding the task. In addition to the Instruction Cards, Joker Cards can be used during gameplay to easily modify the tasks.


The game, intended for coaching and teaching purposes, was designed by a working group consisting of Anniina Aunola, Riitta Honkanen, Saara Räsänen, and graphic designer Riikka Eskelinen. The design of the Liikelaatikko game was based on the content of Tanssisäkki as well as the experiences of the dance teachers who led the game. 

The Liikelaatikko box is available for loan to daycare centers, elementary schools, clubs, and associations. Use of the activity box is free of charge, and it can be borrowed from the ITAK Stage (Sotku, Suokatu 42/2, Kuopio).

The loan period is a maximum of 4 weeks.
